UMNH Across the State -- Travelling Exhibits

Bear River Traveling Exhibit Graphic

Bear River: Last Chance to Change Course

Photographs and Commentary
by Craig Denton

Showing at the
Merrill-Cazier Library
Utah State University

September 15 through
November 2, 2008

Utah documentarian Craig Denton has focused his camera's lens on the Bear River, along its circular path and in all o its moods. In this work, he has attempted to give the river a voice and alert those of us living in the arid west that it is time to rethink our relationships with water.

The exhibition is based upon Denton's book of the same name. UMNH is pleased to bring these photos and words to communities throughout Utah. Accompanying the photographs are a water simulation station and selected objects from the Museum's collection.
