If you need to transfer your camper from one camp and into another camp, you will be charged a $15 processing fee. In the unlikely event your camp is cancelled by UMNH, you may apply payment toward another program or receive a full refund. Please allow four weeks to receive refunds.

Drop Off and Pick Up Guidelines

Bring your child to the Museum's West Entrance on Presidents Circle (200 South 1300 East, SLC). You may bring your child between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m. for morning and day-long camps and between 12:30 and 1:00 p.m. for afternoon camps. Your child will have had a fun-filled experience and be ready to see you when camp ends. Meet your child promptly at Noon or 4:30 p.m.

Visiting the Museum during Camp

Your child will have many great experience at the Museum during his or her week at camp. They may want to experience the Museum with you! As a registered camper, you and your child will be able to visit the Museum at no charge during the week of camp that s/he is enrolled. We ask that you pay regular admission for any non-registered siblings, friends or adults who accompany you. Of course, UMNH Members always get in for free.

Transportation

If your camper is enrolled in one of our partner camps and/or has a field trip component to their camp, transportation will be provided by UMNH. Campers will be driven in one of two types of state vehicles, either a University of Utah Campus Shuttle or state vehicles (7-passenger mini-vans), both of which will be driven by University-certified drivers. Campus shuttles do not have (and are not required to have) seat belts, therefore car seats can not be used. If riding in a mini-van, seat belts are always worn. If we are using a mini-van, and you would like to bring a car seat for your child, camp staff will ensure that your child is secured into their car seat. If we are utilizing shuttles, and you would like to transport your child to and from our partner sites and/or field trip locations, please let us know and we will get you directions and a detailed itinerary. Your child’s safety is our utmost concern.
